We will go into the technical ways of timing and judging Raja yogas from the vantage point of this place of peak spiritual energy.

In this lecture, Steve explores some of the key yogas that can make one victorious in various endeavours.  We will also see that the rashi Taurus is highly significant in the charts of super-champions, especially in Grand Slam Tennis Champions.  The above quotation is displayed in the Roland Garros tennis stadium in Paris.

17:00-18:30 Sarbani Rath: Gajakeśarī Yoga: The Emblem of Spiritual Struggle

Gajakeśarī Yoga depicts the struggle between the mind and the soul, wherein the native is torn between the pulls of the saṅsāra and sannyāsa.   It takes us deeper into the relationship between Jupiter and Moon, both kings of their realms of the spirit world and the existential world, into the storms of the conflicts between the human mind and the overwhelming pull of the spiritual self. The two grahas beckon us, each to his own path, into the constellation spirals of their respective daśā systems. We will try to analyze this in some noteworthy horoscopes, identifying their struggles, the nature of their mind and the timing of certain events in their lives.

13:00-14:30 Vijaya Subramanian: Kevala Yogada

When the Moon is disposited by the Atma Karaka, there is Kevala yoga and when this position is connected to Lagna, then it bestows a Kevala Yogada, connecting the mind with the consciousness. Kevala is a term associated with Shiva or Advaita Vedanta representing non- duality, fullness (purnatvam) and ananda. Vijaya will be examining the horoscopes of persons with this Kevala yogada to determine how it functions and facilitates them in their lives.

15:00-16:30 Natalia Fedorova: Vāhana yoga

The word Vahana is generally associated with a vehicle or draught-animal, used for the act of carrying or conveying. Another meaning for the word is the act of making effort, endeavoring, exertion. In this talk we will discuss Vāhana yogas given by Parashara in Sukha-bhāva-phala-adhyāya (Chapter about results of 4th house) including Yanavanta Yoga that allows one person to easily climb to the pinnacle of success while keeping the others stuck with nothing at all in their lives. We will then look at various examples using appropriate Vargas, Kārakas viz. Venus and Moon and the concept of traditional vāhanas of the Vedic Gods.

Every graha has a special yoga in a group starting with Ananda (bliss). We will discuss this powerful insight and other key yogas especially associated with Muhurta but also with applications for natal charts.

15:00-16:30 Mariella Cassar: Combinations for mental illness and schizophrenia

The subject of mental illness is extensive. Apart from many different types of personality disorders the two most serious illnesses are schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Even within schizophrenia there are several types. We will first look at the combinations that predispose to mental illness and then at charts of schizophrenics to identify common astrological combinations for various forms of this illness.
