Pandit Sanjay Rath – Chhadaka छादक Vedhaka वेधक

छादक chādaka and वेधक vedhaka are intermediate level concepts related to planetary positions not in vogue in the modern vedic world. We are going to introduce them as well as bring out their applications. छाद chāda means a roof, a shelter whereas छादक chādaka can mean a covering, or any object that obscures the view and in turn hides something. वेध is far more negative – means a piercing that breaks through the shelter. A breach, an opening or perforation that is a weakness in the shelter. It hits (a mark) and punctures, wounding in the process.

Pandit Sanjay Rath -Bandhaka बन्धक Pratibandhaka प्रतिबन्धक

बन्धक bandhaka and प्रतिबन्धक pratibandhaka are from बन्ध (bandha) means  binding, tying, a bond, fetter. In jyotiṣa usage it is not a bandage. Instead, its like a damming up of a river, like a strong block to a daśā. More meaning from ātman perspective like capture, arrest, imprisonment and custody. Any physical bond or connection. A yoga that joins, unites, combines and forms something. Various meanings and wide usage.
