Conference Speakers 2010
BAVA has the honour of these illustrious astrologers lecturing at this year's annual conference:

Pandit Vamadeva Shastri (David Frawley, OMD) is a founder/patron of BAVA and former President of the American Council of Vedic Astrology. He is the author of a number of books in the Vedic field, including books on Ayurveda, Jyotish, Yoga, Tantra, Veda and Vedanta, along with their integration. He is a Jyotish Kovid and Jyotish Brihaspati from the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences.

Yogini Shambhavi Chopra is teacher and guide to Shakti Sadhana or the worship of the Devi. She is the author of two books and Yogini Bhava, an beautiful CD of Sanskrit chants and bija mantras mainly to the different forms of the Goddess. She also practices Vedic astrology and offers consultations and spiritual guidance.

Jhampa Kalsang, PhD, graduated in 1989 from the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute of H.H. the Dalai Lama, in Dharamasala, India. He completed a full course of study and six years of training in Tibetan studies with an emphasis on traditional Tibetan astronomy, astrology, medical astrology and Buddhist philosophy. He has been on the staff of Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute and was one of the senior lecturers.

He has spent the last eight years teaching, lecturing and attending conferences in America, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. He is a co-author of Tibetan Astronomy & Astrology and has published his book titled, Tibetan Astro Science. He is one of the first traditional Tibetan professional Astro-Science practitioners in the West. He resides in San Diego, California where he has opened the Tibet Gift House, offering Tibetan products, classes and readings.

Brendan Feeley is a qualified homeopath and naturopath and holds a graduate degree in archetypal psychology. He practices Ayurveda and Jyotish in Rockville, MD in the USA. He grew up in the west of Ireland and began his study of the Vedas and western astrology while living in London in 1975. He has been a student of Jyotish since 1984 and he met his Jyotish Guru, Pundit Sanjay Rath, in 1998. He is a member of the American Council of Vedic Astrologers and the National Association of Ayurvedic Medicine and is a popular teacher of Jyotish and Ayurveda in the USA. Pandit Sharma Samavedula is a leading traditional Sama Veda pandit and Vedic expert, especially in Yagyas, Mantras and other remedial practices. He blessed our 2009 conference and will be performing pujas and lecturing this year.

Gordon Brennan is a professional astrologer and dealer in Vedic astrology books. He teaches the BAVA courses and is tutor for SJC Study Group. Gordon is a Jaimini Scholar and a BAVA committee member. www.vedicbookservices.com

Andrew Foss PhD, is the President and co-founder of the British Association of Vedic Astrology. He has a BA and MA from Oxford University in Physics and an MSc and PhD in Computing Science. He is the author of the leading software for Vedic Astrology, Shri Jyoti Star and the editor of the journal Gochara. Alexander Lubenskis - Shiva Vakya Siddha Baba
is a student and teacher of Ayurveda and Jyotish and is the leading exponent in his country of Latvia.

Steve Hubball, PhD, is a professional Vedic Astrologer and Counsellor, and is the UK tutor for Dirah Academy which offers email correspondence courses in Vedic Astrology. He has spoken at many Vedic Astrology and Ayurveda conferences, and is one of the few certified teachers of the Jaimini Scholar Program.
